Hello everyone, my name is Loany Ramírez
Maybe you’ve seen me here and there, I love taking pictures of our guests and of course sunsets.
I would like to formally introduce myself because I’m usually the one behind every email exchange.
I’m Meet Roatan’s founder and I would like to tell you a bit about how this company started.
Growing up I lived in multiple countries and got used to the traveling life. As I grew up, I found myself with a drive of studying interior space design, specifically in France. So, I moved to France to achieve my goal. However, I found myself missing my country.
I really wanted to come back to Honduras and explore all the beautiful places I missed out on while growing up, the one place that outstood the most was Roatan.
There was something about the island that drew me there, so I packed my whole life in a suitcase and flew off with no plans.
Roatan accepted me with arms wide open.
A month went by without me realizing it, I was so mesmerized by this magical place, every single spot was incredible. Having said that it was hard for me, a complete stranger to this island, to figure out where exactly I was going or what was I going to do for the day. I started to wander around, discovering new places by myself and sharing them on social media and..
That’s where the idea of Meet Roatan emerged.
The island is such a beautiful place but had no information to follow, no blogs or websites, making it very hard for me & tourists to discover this hidden gem.
So, Meet Roatan was born, a travel designing company that promotes sustainable tourism with the sole purpose of helping people like me, people who want to explore such a captivating island and fall in love with it just like I did.
